I want the players to talk while they are at the club, not after”, began the Qatari in a conversation with the French media RMC Sport.

In this sense he added: “I have great respect for him, but it is not right that someone speaks badly of Paris Saint-Germain after his departure. “This is not respect.”

“He’s not a bad guy, but I don’t like that. It’s something that applies to everyone: we talk about a place when we are there, not when we leave. It’s not our style,” said Al Khelaifi, who is the owner and president of the Parisian club since 2011.

But that wasn’t all. Because Al Khelaifi also referred to the reason why Messi had not been rewarded by Paris Saint Germain after winning the World Cup in Qatar with the Argentine national team: “We don’t celebrate Messi because he won the World Cup against France and he won it against Kylian , and because we are also a French club, so we didn’t celebrate so as not to make them boo.”

This can be interpreted as an excuse on the part of the PSG manager, especially if we take the example of Nicolás Tagliafico, another world champion who also plays in France and who was honored by his respective club, Lyon.
