Artur Beterbiev demolished Callum Smith, preserving his relentless record and retaining his three world crowns

Artur Beterbiev confirmed this Sunday the impressive power of his punches. The one born in the Republic of Dagestan and naturalized Canadian demolished the British Callum Smith, defeated him by TKO in the seventh round and not only retained his three world titles, but also extended his relentless record of successes to 20 victories, all in the fast lane.

It was no trial that Betervieb had to go through to get the win at the Center Videotron in Quebec, Canada, as the Liverpool native showed courage and determination to overcome the moments when his rival put his foot on the accelerator. However, nowhere in the bout, not even in the sixth round where he seemed to take a breather, was the experienced light heavyweight monarch’s victory in danger.

Finally, with just under two minutes left in the seventh, the holder of the World Boxing Council, International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization titles managed to connect the hands he was looking for in the bout and knocked Smith down. The force of his punches was such that the Englishman managed to get up but was unable to continue fighting.

This case was due to take place on August 19 last year, but a jaw infection forced the monarch to undergo surgery and forced a postponement of almost five months.
