Diego Armando Maradona Jr, 10-year-old Italian-Argentine son, gave an interview to the EFE agency where he assured that they “killed” his father: “They abandoned him to his fate when something could have been done”. Furthermore, he assured that he had “an idea” of who the culprit could have been.
“There is an open investigation. We – his children – have a lot of faith in Argentine justice. I am convinced that all this should not have ended like this. They killed my father. It’s not my job to say who did it, I have my idea but I can’t say it. They abandoned him to his fate when something could have been done”, he declared in the Mediaset Italia program ‘Verrisimo’.
Diego Jr. also said that he will not give up: “I made a promise: until the last day of my life I will fight for justice,” he added.
The son of the historic footballer, born in Naples (1986) following Diego’s extramarital affair with Cristiana Sinagra, explained how he experienced his father’s death.
“The feeling of emptiness will never go away. But the love that everyone shows him soothes the pain, at least in part,” he explained.
