The same day, at midday, Boca closed a new reinforcement after passing the medical examination: Nazarene Solis. “I’m happy to realize my dream of playing for Boca. I’m enjoying this moment to the fullest, very few have the dream of playing for the club they are fans of. I play as a left winger but I can also do it on the “right wing. I also played as a left midfielder,” said the then 22-year-old left winger who arrived from Talleres de Córdoba. And he warned: “My parents admired Guillermo.”

A few days later, on Friday 26th, the president Daniel Angelici made the official presentation of the seasonal reinforcements: Axel Werner, the Colombian Sebastián Pérez, Ricardo Adrián Centurión, Santiago Vergini, Wilmar Barrios and Solís himself. “Reaching the First Division is a big step and a unique opportunity to do it at this club,” said the man born in Campana and trained at Villa Dálmine.

Time has passed and Solís’ dreams of succeeding at Boca were fading, beyond the fact that he was taken into consideration by the Twin in that first semester. The striker was never able to find his footing and began to seek his fortune elsewhere. For different reasons, He never broke ties with Boca and he renewed himself even without playing. He emigrated once, twice, three, four, five and six times with loans. And now he has sung seven: he will play in 2024 on loan at Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza.

Solís’ numbers are astonishing: in almost 8 years at the club, he was loaned out to more teams (7) than he played games for the club (4).

Solís made his debut on 29 October 2016 in the 4-0 win over Temperley: he came on for Tevez in the 25th minute of the second half. Then he will play against Colón (18 December), against Defensa y Justicia (1 April 2017) and against Patronato (16 April). In total, he accumulated 62 minutes. Tired of waiting for his place, he decided to go out on loan. And there his journey would begin.

Between 2017 and 2018 he emigrated to Hurricane, where he played 11 games. Then, between 2018 and 2019, he played 18 games at San Martín de San Juan and scored one goal. For the 2019 and 2020 season he wore the Aldoses: 3 goals in 18 games. He was given the European chance OFI Crete of Greece, a cast in which he played 13 duels with one celebration. The winger concluded his stay in Europe and trained with the Boca Reserve from May to December 2021. In 2022 he moved to Alvarado from Mar del Plata (28 games and 3 screams) and in 2023 he signs with Patronage (38 duels and 3 celebrations).

Now, this 2024 you will find him playing for Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza in the Primera Nacional. Then, in December, he will return to Boca. And maybe he will be loaned out again…
