Argentine tennis player Diego Schwartzman is measured this Monday against angry Frenchman Benoit Paire for the first round of the Madrid Masters 1000, one of the European circuit’s best events in the brick dust that distributes prizes in the amount 7,499,290 euros. The game was played from 10 in Argentina (ESPN).
Schwartzman will face the executioner of his compatriot Federico Coria, number 52 in the world rankings, in the final round of classification. Paire won, 60 in the world rankings, 7-6 (5), 4-6 and 2-6.

The tournament, which has only one Argentine champion in its history, David Nalbandian from Cordoba in the 2007 edition, also has the attraction of returning Spaniard Rafael Nadal, after a rib injury sustained on March 20 in Indian Wells.
Rafa lifted the trophy in Madrid in 2005, 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2017 and will start the season on clay with the goal of reaching his favorite tournament, Roland Garros, which starts on May 22 and where he has a record of having won this 13 times.
