Rosario Central, champions of the last League Cup, will make their title debut today when they visit Atlético Tucumán for the first match of Zone A of the 2024 Professional League Cup. The match will be played from 9.15pm at the José Fierro stadium from capital of Tucumán, with refereeing by Pablo Echavarría and TV via the TNT Sports cable signal.
Central will not have the Colombian striker Jaminton Campaz – a figure of the champion team – available, who has not yet returned to work and will do so in the next few hours, nor the injured right-wing scorer Damián Martínez, who suffered a sprained knee in the final won by the Canalla team against Platense in Santiago del Estero.
Opposite will be Atlético Tucumán, where coaches Sergio Gómez and Fabio Orsi will not have the experienced midfielder Guillermo “Bebe” Acosta, who is in conflict with the “Decano” management.
