The Luque, Paraguay -based entity released a statement on Monday in which it reported that the fine was divided into three parts: one in 80 thousand dollars, another in 15 thousand and a third of 3 thousand.

In all three cases, the entity headed by Paraguayan Alejandro Domínguez clarified that the money “will be automatically debited from the amount received by the Conmebol club for Television rights or Sponsorship”.

The three -game closing of the South Grandstand and the $ 80,000 penalty are explained in “Violation of article 10.1 subsections a), b) and d) of the Conmebol Disciplinary Code, in accordance with article 9 of the same legal body”.

In particular, the entity warned of that “in the case of a repetition of any breach of sports discipline the same or similar as at this point”the santafesino team will play their next two battles for the Conmebol tournaments behind closed doors.

The penalty was applied because of the riots that took place around the stadium by a group of barrabravas, which even caused a gunshot wound to a Peñarol supporter who was in a box in the stadium.
