Both finalists have shared recognition in the regional history of futsal: Brazil with 10 of the 14 titles awarded in this championship which has been held since 1992, and Argentina with three awards (2003, 2015 and 2022).
Saturday will open with the challenge between Chile and Uruguay (2pm Argentine time) for fifth place in the standings, before Paraguay and Venezuela decide the final place on the podium.
Bolivia, however, won this Friday 7-6 on penalties against Ecuador. La Verde thus avoided the last place in the standings by placing ninth and sending La Tri to the bottom.
Subsequently, Colombia lost 1–4 to Peru, who finished in seventh place in the regional tournament.
Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Venezuela have won, in addition to the semi-final of the Copa América, the place to represent South America in the FIFA World Cup which will take place next September and October in Uzbekistan.
