The accident of the Chacarita captain occurred around 7.40am on Monday 22 January, while the 27-year-old footballer was on his way to the property of the Unión Tranviarios Automotor (UTA), in the Moreno match. The van he was traveling in got stuck under a truck and then caught fire.
Road authorities and medical personnel treated the player and referred him to the hospital in San Miguel del Monte, the area where the accident occurred.
