In a Superclásico that ended 1-1 and was more fought than well played, Chilean Paulo Díaz was once again River’s best. Reinforcement Rodrigo Villagra’s debut was very good from the start. Claudio Echeverri and Esequiel Barco didn’t weigh too much in attack. And the admitted Agustín Sant’Anna was portrayed in Cristian Medina’s equalizing goal.
Below is the report card Clarion.
FrancoArmani (5):
He could do little in goal. She didn’t work too hard. He left some doubts in air shipments.
Marcelo Herrera (5):
Little was expected. He was solid, but was booked for an avoidable infringement against Zenón. Demichelis had to replace him quickly and River suffered.
Leandro Gonzalez Pirez (6):
Firm from above and below. With his presence he managed to contain Boca’s Uruguayan attackers.
Paulo Diaz (7):
The best of River’s defense this year. He won the applause and ovation of the Monumentale with a couple of saving crosses. From above, impassable.
Enzo Diaz (6):
He was erratic in his passing and reached the backfield on very few occasions. He alternated well on the mark. In the complement he enabled Solari for the local goal.
Ignacio Fernandez (5):
Like Barco, Nacho finds it a little more difficult when starting as an inside player. The better version of him is usually seen lying to the right of him. A few glimpses of his talent and not much else. He tried hard.
Rodrigo Villagra (6):
It wasn’t easy for him because he fought alone with almost all the rival midfielders. And he won more than he lost. He showed why he is one of the best local football players. He made a couple of saving crosses. Very good with the ball.
Esequiel Barco (5):
It was he who lost with Demichelis’ ultra-offensive scheme. He moved from the inside to the left and was more aware of Advíncula’s climbs than of the rival’s goal. He didn’t have the best of his dribble in the last few metres.
Paolo Solari (6):
It is a rare case because he usually comes in better from the bench than as a starter. This time he lined up as a striker and took advantage of what he had to run behind the defenders and scored River’s goal.
Claudio Echeverri (5):
It had electric starts, but they were very sporadic. We must not lose sight of the fact that she is only 18 years old and that he played his first Superclásico. He gave results, even though he was well marked by Boca’s midfield.
Facundo Colidio (6):
He moved to the left sector of the attack. He was more active than in other matches and in the second half he raised his level. He almost scored a great goal in the first half, but the post denied him the scream.
Agostino Sant’Anna (4):
He went in very badly. Blanco overwhelmed him every time he proposed it to her. He lost badly in the draw in Medina.
Rodrigo Aliendro (5):
He didn’t contribute much. She still doesn’t appear at last year’s level.
Miguel Borja (4):
He arrived injured and it showed too much. He talked more than ran. But he almost celebrated with a header that Romero blocked.
