The former Boca player came on in the 34th minute of the second half, when the score was already in Wolves’ favor thanks to Lemina’s goal in the 2nd minute of play. He replaced the Brazilian Igor Julio and moved to left back, although launched into attack given the team he leads Roberto De Zerbi I needed the tie.

Barco’s best feature was a precise cross from the left that found striker Danny Welbeck, but the English scorer’s header ends up over the crossbar. Brighton looked for an equalizer until the end, but couldn’t and were eliminated.

The other Argentine on the pitch was Facundo Buonanotte, who came out among the starters. However, the former Central player did not have a good performance and was replaced 24 minutes into the match.

Barco’s debut was surprising as on Tuesday his coach, the Italian De Zerbi, had declared that the Argentine was not yet fit to play: “It’s not ready. We knew before the transfer window opened that bringing a player from another country would be very difficult for him. He is a good player. Let’s help each other understand everything.”. However, this Wednesday gave him his first minutes in the team.
