The Argentine Formula 2 driver Franco Colapinto (MP Motorsport) came second today in the first opening free practice sessions of the 2024 calendar, which this Saturday will have its first race on the Bahrain circuit where Formula 1 will also start.
Colapinto, born in Pilar 20 years ago, came second on his debut in the category, behind the Frenchman Isack Hadjar, who remained just 137 thousandths of a second from the initial reference, always remaining in the advanced positions.
Pilarense’s best time was 1’45s236 and came with two minutes left in the round. The next activity will be the Leaderboard starting at 10:55 am (Argentina time).

This Friday the Sprint Race will take place at 11.15am (Argentine time) and last 23 laps, while on Saturday the main F2 race will be at 7.30am, also with 32 laps.
