Juan Fernando Quintero once again made Boca bitter and reminded them of their worst nightmare. The left-footed player allowed himself the luxury of converting Xeneize in Racing’s partial equalizer against Diego Martínez’s team and, in doing so, silenced the Bombonera for a few minutes.

Racing lost 1-0 thanks to Lucas Blondel’s great goal, but in the 34th minute of the first half, Gabriel Rojas extended the ball to Maxi Salas, who exaggerated and launched a clear cross. Juanfer Quintero came into the middle and pushed the ball into the net despite Benítez’s attempts to clear the ball.

After scoring the equaliser, Juanfer trotted towards the corner, near the pits, and opened his hands as if to make the Boca fans cry even more.

The fact is that between boos and insults towards the Colombian, the Xeneizes fans will surely have missed that image that they would like to forget: that of Juanfer’s goal at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid when Boca lost the Copa Libertadores final with River .

Since then Juanfer has not scored a goal against Boca. And in this return to the Bombonera, now with the Racing shirt, the Colombian celebrated once again a little in front of those fans who curse again and again that this talented Colombian who now enjoys L’Academia has crossed their path.
