This was stated by the British network BBC, which promoted the complaint to the leading motorsport body after two accusations made previously.

The first occurred on February 2, through the line that the FIA dedicates to the ethical rules of F1, a few days before the case became public.

The second accusation, launched on March 6, recalled the accusations made in the first and warned that in the event of inaction by the FIA, the complainant – whose identity was not specified by the BBC – would inform the press.

This was stated by the FIA, consulted by the French international agency AFP was unable to confirm the submission of the complaint due to the procedures applied internally in managing this type of situation and for “the maximum confidentiality that exists and will exist”.

Horner, 50 years old and married to the singer Geri Halliwell (former member of the Spice Girls group), has always denied the accusations. His wife was seen with him at the Bahrain Grand Prix, the season-opening race earlier this month.

Era acquitted as part of an internal investigation carried out by Red Bull, which lasted ten weeks and which was carried out by a lawyer external to the team.

The employee, suspended from duties within the team after his complaint was rejected, he decided to appeal that decision internally and asked Red Bull to reconsider its position, according to several media outlets.

The case continues to shake the championship-leading team, despite the excellent results obtained by its drivers at the start of the season.

Dutchman Max Verstappen won both races, in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. His Mexican teammate Sergio Pérez finished second in both competitions.
