Exequiel Tejeda and Julián Encinatwo players from Godoy Cruz’s reserve detained this Friday after violating the rules of conduct imposed on them by the Prosecutor’s Office in the context of a case they are investigating for alleged aggravated sexual abuse of one 18 year old girl occurred in November last year at coming out of a bowling alley.
The players were released after paying a bail of one and a half million pesosbut one of the conditions they had to respect to maintain that freedom was to maintain a fixed address. Both reported that they would reside in locations to come later they changed without notice to the Prosecutor’s Office, who, alerted by the victim’s defender, gave rise to a complaint which led to the arrest of the players.
Following the order issued by the Prosecutor’s Office for crimes against sexual integrity, the arrest of Tejeda and Encina was concluded on Friday night: the former will remain at police station 44 until his transfer to prison is completed. Encina, for its part, will be temporarily hosted in Third Police Station of the City of Mendoza.
The arrest means a new setback in the case investigating Godoy Cruz’s reservists for “aggravated sexual abuse with carnal access and for being two or more people“: The tests carried out by the medical examiner corps found samples of their DNA on their bodies and clothes of the young complainant.
Furthermore, a doctor was able to ascertain an injury to the young woman’s left arm which may have been caused during the alleged abuse.
A sexual abuse reminiscent of the case of the Vélez players
The series of facts reported by the young woman are reminiscent of the abuse reported in the last week by a journalist and which involved four players from the Club Atlético Vélez Sarsfield squad.
According to the complaint, on October 20 the young woman went dancing at the Wish bowling alley with a friendwhere they met Tejeda and Encina.
When they left, around 6 am, the complainant told them this it had to be changed go to the restaurant where he worked. The players would have offered it to him his department for him to do it but, once he achieved it, both of them would do it he abused her repeatedly.
Upon leaving the athletes’ property, the young woman met her friend and They both went together to report the fact.
