Last week, section 21 of the Barcelona Court, the courtroom that tried and convicted him, allowed Dani Alves to leave prison after paying a bail of one million euroswith one of the three magistrates voting against, while the appeals against the sentence that convicted him of rape are being resolved.

In the end, Alves left the Brians 2 prison, in Sant Esteve Sesrovires (Barcelona), last Monday afternoon, after having been able to deposit the million euros imposed by the Barcelona court that same morning in order to be able to go free.

Among the precautionary measures imposed, the withdrawal of the two passports – Brazilian and Spanish -, the ban on leaving the country and the obligation to report every Friday to the secretariat of section 21a, or on the last previous working day in the event of a public holiday, stand out. , as happened this Thursday.

Alves arrived by car after leaving home about half an hour earlier, and got out of the vehicle accompanied by his lawyer, with whom he walked the meters that separate one of the sides of the Palace of Justice from the main entrance.

The Brazilian arrived on the pitch dressed in a white shirt, trousers and sneakers, and with a brown jacket, with a calm attitude and without paying attention to the press, who were waiting for him on the other side of the street, separated from the others. entrance via fences installed by the Mossos d’Esquadra for security.

Nor did he back down from the insults that underlined the fact for which he had been convicted at first instance: “You are a rapist”. “You are a fucking rapist,” microphones captured broadcasts showing the entrance and exit of the Courthouse.

At no time did either the former FC Barcelona player or his lawyer make any statements to the media that were waiting for him.

Alves remained inside the Palace of Justice for approximately ten minutes. Once the procedure was completed, he went out and headed towards the car waiting for him on the corner where he had previously left him, driven by a friend of his.

During Alves’ brief appearance in court, a spontaneous person approached the area where the press was and scolded the footballer with shouts of “rapist”, also reproachful him for having managed to get out of prison in exchange for a million euro, among other insults. .

Yesterday the news leaked that, on the first day of freedom, Alves organized a party at his house for a group of close friends.

For its part, the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office of Barcelona has appealed against the decision to release Alves on bail – which the victim’s lawyer would also have done -, believing that the current risk of flight is “even greater” now given the situation existence of a conviction.
