The loan took place when the process was still beginning and he needed to hand over 150,000 euros to the Spanish courts. At the time, Neymar’s father lent the amount, which is the equivalent of R$818,000, so that the athlete could pay early compensation to the victim. The money was returned about a week ago.

Nowadays, Daniel Alves is on provisional release after paying bail of 1 million euros, around R$5.4 million. For now, the origin of the money that paid his bail has not been publicly revealed.

Daniel Alves spoke for the first time after being released

The soccer player Daniel Alves gave his first interview after being released on provisional release. He was imprisoned for more than a year on charges of sexual abuse in a nightclub in Spain and was sentenced to more than four years in prison. However, he paid bail and is free.

With that, the athlete spoke to the Spanish newspaper El Periódico and said that he is calm. He said he needs to maintain his routine of going to court every week and that he doesn’t know how long he will be free because of the resources that still lie in court.

Daniel Alves said his only obligation is to appear in court every week. “That’s what’s up to me. I don’t have much else to do either“, he said. Then, he added: “Wherever I go, I survive. I adapt to everything, because for me it’s not the place that makes the person, but the person that makes the place”.
