Members of the board of directors of the Avellaneda group, including Alfredo Chiodini AND Barbara Whitethey approached the broadcast booth before the game to present a plaque to 89-year-old Macaya Márquez.

“My last recognition was at the World Cup in Qatar by FIFA and now Racing is present again, as it has been in many moments of my life. We were remembering historic matches and I forgot to mention the Centenary match and Chango Cárdenas’ goal (becoming intercontinental champion for the first time). I was inside the courthouse“he recalled.
“Thank you very much. My feeling is the ball, it’s football,” said Macaya Márquez.
“I wasn’t so used to going to court or not going to court.”Macaya had commented, explaining that due to a matter of time he had not been able to return to television broadcasts, but having received the offer of DSport -who had the exclusive right to broadcast the meeting-, did not hesitate: “I’m interested in commenting on it and seeing it a little more closely.”
