Dabrowski and Olmos struggled to win 3 sets of 7-6 (7/1), 5-7 and 10-7 against American Desirae Krawczyk and Dutch Demi Schuurs.
The intense battle lasted 2 hours and 4 minutes effort on Madrid clay.
Dabrowski and Olmos, seeded No. 2, was noticeably effective in the serve, passing 71% of their first serve.
They won the first title of their 2022 season.
For Dabrowski, this is his first win in Madrid’s three finals, reaching the final in 2021 (with Schuurs) and 2019 (with Yifan Xu).

Showing great patience, Dabrowski and Olmos were rewarded after a thrilling third set.
Dabrowski has now won three 1000 class titles on the WTA Tour.
He notably won the title in Montreal in 2021 and in Miami in 2017.
Gabriela Dabrowski has won 11 doubles titles and 2 mixed doubles titles (Australian and French Open in 2018).
