The Flames needed a two-man power play and a penalty shot to beat Jake Oettinger who again became sensational on goal for the Stars, stopping 50 shots.

At the other end of the rink, Jacob Markstrom faced 35 shots and only gave up once. The Flames won 4-1.

In the middle of the second period, Rasmus Andersson was the first to hit the target. He scored an accurate shot from the point while Jani Hakanpaa and Radek Faksa were in the penalty box. This is the Flames ’32nd pitch.

The Flames added two goals in the third period.

John Klingberg hooked up with Johnny Gaudreau, as he appeared alone in front of Jake Oettinger. A penalty throw was awarded to the attacker who took advantage of the opportunity to make the score 2-0.

Gaudreau became Elias Lindholm’s accomplice to score his third goal in the playoffs.

Tyler Seguin took advantage of a power play to score and thus missed Jacob Markstrom’s second shutout.

Mikael Backlund put the insurance net into an empty net with just 22 seconds left.

Game 5 of the series will be played in Calgary on Wednesday.
