Less than a year after his takeover as head coach of the San Diego Gulls, the Anaheim Ducks school club, Joël Bouchard was dismissed by the organization, some media reported on Wednesday.
His assistants Daniel Jacob and Maxime Talbot also lost their jobs. The news was first reported by the RDS network.
Joël Bouchard left the organization for the Ducks last July after three years at the helm of Laval Rocket, the club. His contract was not renewed.
The Anaheim Ducks, however, changed general managers last season. Pat Verbeek was named in February to replace Bob Murray, who resigned in November after enrolling in an alcohol abuse program and found himself in the midst of an alleged sexual misconduct. .
In 68 games this season in the American Hockey League, the Gulls went 28-33-4 and were eliminated in the preliminary round on Friday.
