Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokic was named NBA Most Valuable Player for the second consecutive year on Wednesday.
A star player for the Denver Nuggets, the 27-year-old Serb has averaged 27.1 points, 13.8 rebounds and 7.9 assists this season.
He is in his seventh season in the NBA.
Jokic participated in 74 games, averaging 33 and a half minutes.
He played 19 games with at least 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, an NBA high this season.
Jokic was also one of the stars on the circuit for the fourth consecutive year.
Denver drafted him 41st in 2014.
In 2019 and 2020, the honor went to Greek Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.
2nd rank of the poll went to scoring champion Joel Embiid, of the Philadelphia 76ers.
Antetokounmpo finished in third place ahead of Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns.
The other 11 athletes who have been MVP two consecutive years are Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Larry Bird, Wilt Chamberlain, Stephen Curry, Tim Duncan, LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Michael Jordan, Moses Malone, Steve Nash and Bill Russell.
