“He was a fan of Racing, to full, to death. I hid it because it was my love. Career is my love and so is he, my grandfather“said the man.

When asked about how he entered the stadium with the skull of his deceased relative, where a special security operation was mounted with more than 3,000 police surrounding the Ciudad de Lanús stadium, he replied: “I got through it with faith, with a love of Racing. He enters the field alone.”

It’s clear, the passion for football is driving fans crazy. And there are people with inseparable relationships. This story went viral in 2019 when the team led by Eduardo Coudet was crowned Super League champion.

On that occasion, Gabriel Aranda recounted how he captured his relative’s skull at the Obelisk celebrations. “He was in the niche and I removed him from the niche the whole time Racing was playing. This is the cabal of Racing. He would be proud because I removed it,” he said of that situation.

This particular story took place in the semifinal of the League Cup between Boca and Racing played at Lanús stadium. The match ended on equality, no goals, and everything was defined in the penalty shootout where the Xeneize won 6-5. Defender’s Fault Academy Emiliano Insúa from twelve steps became decisive for the team led by Sebastián Battaglia to get their pass in the final.

Boca Juniors will await the clash between Argentinos Juniors and Tigre, which will take place this Sunday from 4:00 pm at the Tomás Adolfo Ducó stadium in Parque Patricios, to find out who they will face in the definition of the local tournament.

The Academy came on this occasion as the leader of Zone A with 30 units, above the River Plate, Defense and Justice and Argentinos Juniors, making a great contest. This allowed him to access the quarterfinals, where he faced Aldosivi from Mar del Plata, whom he defeated 5-0.
