Despite leaving Boca’s hand and bidding farewell to the League Cup semifinals, Racing played a great game, especially in the first half. He had high scores with Sigali and Moreno. Copetti played well, but Rossi saved the penalty by definition. Like Insúa, who became confident, although he kicked his punishment hard.

“I am proud of my players,” Fernando Gago said in a press conference. And DT was right because in a certain match like the one he played in Lanús, his team showed all the strength that made him one of the best in the tournament. The most important thing is missing, the goal. And the rest is history.

Gaston Gomez (6): He had no activity for 90 minutes. He survived a hot penalty against Eduardo Salvio in the sense.

Facundo Mura (6): He was the bravest, scoring Sebastián Villa, and he didn’t suffer. He deliberately attacked.

Leonardo Sigali (7): The usual restraint of this defender who has deserved a chance on the National Team in recent years. Voice of command, perfect first pass and stability hand-in-hand. He almost scored a header in the first half.

Emiliano Insua (5): He fulfilled during the game, but he executed his penalty very badly and that was decisive.

Gonzalo Piovi (6): Strong on defense to stop Oscar Romero. He put up some beautiful crosses for Alcaraz.

Leonel Miranda (6): He makes Racing play and becomes less, like the whole team. He is very participative when it comes to pressing.

Hannibal Moreno (7): He’s the master of midfield, with some take offs and great downloads. He can play for long minutes with a yellow card.

Carlos Alcaraz (6): He traded good and bad, but he asked them all. And it has moved forward, always. He has a lot of Racing situations on his feet and in his head.

Matias Rojas (6): He played one of his best games at the club, with an attitude to the touch and calmness in handling the ball. He was injured after 40 minutes and received a standing ovation.

Enzo Copetti (6): He fought everyone, he reminded the central defenders, he hit and formed some situations. He went down in the second half, when he was put at the end. He missed the penalty.

Thomas Chancalay (5): All of his beginnings are interesting, but hard for him to define. He would regret for a few days the grip of the hand he had not gotten against Rossi: he sought to cross it with his left foot and it had come a long way. It has little weight in supplements.

Edwin Cardona came in a few seconds to kick a penalty in the sense and after converting he apologized to the fans of Boca, his former club. Photo: Juano Tesone.

Javier Correa (4): The scorer’s performance was not good and Racing felt it because Copetti was going crazy with Boca’s central defenders. He did not worry and lost in all divisions.

Edwin Cardona (-): The Colombian entered to kick a penalty and did not fail in its execution.
