ATP Rankings: Tsitsipas displaced Nadal and Schwartzman fell one step a week before Roland Garros

Rafael Nadal, who was eliminated on Thursday at the Masters 1000 in Rome where he defended his status as champion, was overtaken in the ATP ranking by Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, finalist in the brick dust of Foro Italico, according to the new list. Monday.

The Spaniard with 21 Grand Slam titles fell to fifth place in the standings, while the Greek were again placed in fourth.

The Top 10 has undergone yet another transformation: Norwegian Casper Ruud, semi-finalist in Rome, climbed two spots to rise from 10th to eighth in the world hierarchy. That tenth spot is already in the hands of Italian Mario Berrettini.

The downfall was Federico Delbonis who was 62nd, three places below Federico Coria (59th,) after losing in his debut at Foro Italico, where in 2021 he climbed to the semifinals. Tomás Martín Etcheverry (90th) and Facundo Bagnis (98th) completed the Argentines ’quota in the top 100.
