Daniel Scioli makes his bigotry for sports clear whenever he can, from his past as a motonaut to his aspect as a scorer for the La Ñata futsal team. Now, Argentina’s current ambassador to Brazil confirms that invented a new sport to spend their free time in the capital of that country.
In a bizarre video on TikTok, Scioli said, with a voiceover, the characteristics of this new sport are nothing more or less than a mix of tennis and paddle tennis. It is played in the space limited by the tennis service box but with paddle pads.
“A lot of people ask me what I do over the weekend in Brasilia,” Scioli began, while in the video he is seen playing and moving an opponent with a sliced drive. The surface is synthetic and the ball is not too itchy, so Scioli insists on ‘cutting’ the ball, which hits the lines.
Scioli plays on the court he has in Brasilia.
And Scioli continued his story: “As you know, I’ve been an athlete my whole life, because it’s good for my health, for my head, and at this stage I invented this sport that really exciting and I want to share it with you: it consists of playing in the service area of a traditional tennis court but with rackets on the paddle ”.
The former Buenos Aires governor and Kirchnerism presidential candidate in 2015 built his own residential field. The name honored his refuge in Benavidez, albeit in a Brazilian version: “A Nhatinha Paddle Tennis Club“. La Ñata already has its subsidiary in Brazil.
That point where Scioli moved his rival from one side to the other did not end as the Argentine ambassador expected. After the exact combination of crosscourt and down the line drives scattered the opponent, he went into the net with almost the entire court available, but the forehand volley remained in the net. “Nooo,” he shouted angrily.
“Pichichi Daniel makes me run a lot, he plays wonderful”, said his frequent opponent in “A Nathinha”.
