During his visit to Montevideo, Vélez saved an important victory in the chaos of the match, and beat Nacional 3-2 to return to his hopes of qualifying for round 16 of the Copa Libertadores. In the field, there are goals and emotions are not lacking. But to those standing the party is not complete.
And it is, despite the fact that the game will remain in the memory for being another of the emotional nights provided by the Copa Libertadores, the news went the other way. One more, violence became centraland the many battles between the players — they were there all night in Montevideo—, finally moved to the stand.

The thing started early when a dozen buses full of Vélez fans were stranded on the border, while seeking to enter Uruguay. They were detained for nearly 10 hours, and two of them did not arrive in time for the meeting to begin. Discussed a ‘return a favor’for the ill -treatment that the Uruguayans would have suffered on their visit to the Liniers.
The fact is that the more than 2,000 Fortín fans who came to Montevideo were finally able to pick up the famous visitor to Gran Parque Central. At the stands were concentrated parties, songs between fans, and the usual Chicanas. But the matter ended in the worst way.
After Máximo Perrone’s struggling goal, which allowed Vélez to stay alive in Group C, the celebration erupted on the Argentine bench. From the Nacional audience, a bottle flew that hurt a Vélez collaboratorand what followed was the collision and pushing between the players of both teams.
At the Vélez grandstand, things are no different, and there are some fans already they accuse Uruguayan security of attacking the visit bias. Far from ending there, Fortín fans have also had problems leaving Montevideo, ever since they were delayed again after the game.
On Thursday morning, there were 9 buses of Vélez fans delayed at the border. They arrived at the crossing at dawn, and were still there, waiting to be allowed to enter Argentina.
Nacional fans and their background
The fact is that this is not the first time that Nacional fans have taken violent action in this edition of the Copa Libertadores. just a few weeks ago, a group of Bag supporters threw a bright flare towards the Student tribuneon his visit to La Plata.
On that occasion, Pincha bias tried to “return” the flare without success, and it finally ended in contention that separated the same stand. Although no one was injured, the incident went unnoticed, and Nacional received a harsh punishment from Aprvide.

The announcement, which took place from the networks of Conmebol president Alejandro Domínguez, reads as follows: “Public supporters of the‘ Club Nacional de Football ’will not be allowed to enter the stadiums of the Province of Buenos Aires in viewer quality .
This way, Uruguayan Dean fans are returning to star in an unfortunate event, and the Conmebol sanction is expected to be exemplary. This episode, added to several other acts of violence, could damage Bag and even eliminate the possibility of using the locality in its stadium for future editions of the Copa Libertadores.
