This Friday, the leadership of Velez Sarsfield reported that two thousand members and fans attended Wednesday’s match against Nacional in Uruguay for the Copa Libertadores will be able to attend the next match against Estudiantes de La Plata for free. Good news for the fans.

This confrontation will be primary for qualifying for round 16 in international competition. And, for this reason, the accompaniment of its people to José Amalfitani will be key. The match between the Argentines is scheduled for Tuesday 17 at 7:15 pm

What is the metric for? According to the institutional statement released from Villa Luro, the club knew that its fans had experienced a bad moment upon their arrival in the lands of Charrúa and wanted to pay for it.

“We would like to thank the 2,000 members and fans who were present last night in Montevideo, and became key architects for their support of the victory achieved against Nacional de Uruguay for the Copa Libertadores de América,” the document began. The club then proved that there was a concrete chance of “reaching the round of 16”.

They immediately identified the problems of Fortin fans when they arrived in the neighboring country: “Unfortunately, and despite the planning carried out in advance by our Club in front of the authorities of the National Migration Directorate, large number of Vélez supporters notoriously affected by move to the city of Montevideo suffering serious illness in terms of time and mistreatment of contact personnel of border crossings, during round trips ”.

Our fans experienced an unreasonable delay of up to 10 hours on their return to Buenos Airesand exposed to situations such as not being able to get down even to go to a bathroom, thus making it impossible to access water and food, in a situation of unprecedented congestion, ”it added.

The statement also reports that “a formal complaint has been filed with the Directorate of Migration and through this body with the Uruguayan authorities.” And the reality is unfortunate because these situations “keep real fans and families away from sporting events.”

Thus, the need to pamper the fan after a bad moment was born from the Fortinera institution: “The Club wants to reward the effort of every member and fan who joined the team in this matchdespite the unfavorable socioeconomic context in our country ”.

“For the next match on Tuesday against Estudiantes de La Plata at our José Amalfitani stadium, the 2000 members who traveled will have free admission recognition to witness the meetingto experience what is undoubtedly a match with an amazing setting ”, is added at the end of the text.

Also, the Liniers club reported that “for members who purchase Copa Libertadores season tickets, that access will be enabled to invite another fortinero to encourage our first team.”

It is clear, all cannons point to qualification for round of 16 of the Copa Libertadoresa tournament that Vélez won for the first and only time in 1994 under the leadership of Carlos Bianchi.

The game against the National

On Wednesday, Vélez defeated Nacional de Montevideo 3-2 in a match where goals and emotions were not lacking. With little difficulty Highest Perrone in filling the match, they got three points against the final of Group C and lived to continue dreaming of the continental tournament.

Now, it will all depend on the final game of the Group Phase of the Copa Libertadores against Estudiantes de La Plata -qualified- in Amalfitani, which will be played this Tuesday from 7:15 pm

If he defense got a favorable result and Bragantino lost a point on his visit to Montevideo and will qualify for the next time as second in Group C (both with 5 units). On the other hand, if São Paulo and Liniers add three points, everything will be determined by the goal difference. If they don’t go to the next round, Vélez will enter the Copa Sudamericana as a consolation prize.
