When it comes to life, there is nothing like John Daly. The American currently enjoys one of the two things that give him the most enjoyment in life: playing Golf. The other one, of course, drinks. He has a special talent for this sport, but the most remarkable on the playing field is his way of being. Luxurious, rude. A charming and unusual character.

The 56-year-old, one of the stars in the first round of PGA Championship 2022, was seen this Thursday with a look that caught the attention of locals and strangers. When he attended the golf course wearing some clothes colorful and driving a buggy. Green sweater, pants with skullsmany beard and sunglasses. Always eccentric.

Everyone’s eyes were on him as well as the cameras. Daly, who left his mark in golf history with his two Major wins, has a rebellious personality, but also has a special talent. He covered 18 holes in the top of the car while smoking regularly for five hours of play. And it’s not bad at all.

Addictions: a constant

His chaotic private life affected his game and he was disqualified from several tournaments due to bad behavior. But he knew how to say enough in time. He reinvented himself, quit alcohol, had gastric bypass surgery to control his weight, and returned to racing in 2004.

His career was plagued by bad behavior. He was ejected for hurting a fan and insulting a Marshall. He also left the field several times before finishing, signing autographs while drunk and once even pocketed a game ball.

In September 2020, the Californian was diagnosed with bladder cancer and made headlines by promoting surgery related to her treatment to have enough time to recover and be able to play in a tournament in December with her son. One not in the series.

The Californian suffers from osteoarthritis in his right knee and the organization provides car use to players entering the tournament under current regulations of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Because of this, he uses the buggy that caught everyone’s attention in the first round of the circuit. Undoubtedly, Daly is a unique and irreplaceable character.
