The team therefore retains its place in the first collegiate division of the Quebec Student Sports Network, where it will compete against six other teams during the 2022-2023 season.

I’m glad all the hard work paid off. I will be able to stay at Cégep de Saint-Laurent to finish my technique and play hockey next year. Absorbing, but I don’t regret the time I took for it. I had to do this to play hockey next yearrejoiced Mégan Miron, who denounced the situation in a letter sent to the official opposition spokesman for sports, Enrico Ciccone, and to the Liberal MP for the Acadie ride, Christine St-Rock.

Cégep de Saint-Laurent made an about-face (New window) five days after the announcement of the ice-laying of the women’s hockey program, following shouts from active and former players. color of the Patriots, supported by elected members of the National Assembly.

I never really thought I would have this much support. When I wrote to Enrico, I wasn’t sure if he would answer me. I’m really happy that everyone got involved and helped ussaid Miron.

Recruitment issues for hockey players and coaches were announced on May 12 by management to explain the cessation of team activities. A highly controversial and undesirable decision in the Quebec hockey community, which mobilized to help Patriotes players seek a review of the file.

In the same vein, Daniel Continelli returned to service as head coach of the Patriotes to work on protecting the women’s team. He was in the familiar spot, holding these positions for more than a decade in the early 2000s.

Continelli’s appointment behind the Patriotes bench was celebrated by the players, according to Mégan Miron.

I’m really happy. He said he was a fan of Pats and he wanted to come back here, that was his goal. He wants women to be treated the same as men in the Pats, who are on the same level. We were a bit sidelined, but I hope he brings us back to par.

I know I will enjoy every moment on the ice more. I was disappointed that my career was cut short so without being able to decide when I wanted to quit. I found that I didn’t take advantage of the moments enough. I will try, from now on, to just enjoy the moment and stop the longing to just get to the next level.
