Pilot Sebastian Vettel was robbed on Monday at 8.15 am in the center of Barcelona. What happened? He got out of an Aston Martin in front of a hotel and when some thieves, taking advantage of the fact there was an open door, a backpack containing passports, documents and credit cards was stolen.

The German did not immediately notice the episode. The thieves fled, but Vettel followed them on an electric skate thanks to GPS that they had several airpods in the backpack. The four-time F1 champion saw his Iphone mobile phone where the headphones were.

According to the Catalan press, the pilot contacted the Mossos d’Esquadra (Barcelona police), who urged the German to stop the pursuit and file a complaint with a police station. But Vettel continued his search on the grounds that he was not following the criminals, but the position of his headphones.

The GPS took him to a haberdashery in the Barceloneta neighborhood. There he saw the headphones inside a vase of flowers attached to the store window. But the backpack did not appear.

Although Vettel did not see the criminals, the hotel has security cameras that can make it easier to identify them. And the police are on guard.

One of the things Vettel is missing now is his driver’s license …
