Labor Justice has decided in favor of referee Martín Miguel Saccone and the AFA must appoint him, at least, three games per month to the First National. Otherwise, according to the judicial resolution he approved Clarionyou have to pay 200 thousand pesos fine whenever you give up on doing so.

This is a new chapterand the interior of the referees to face the AFA in SADRA (Arbiters’ Union of the Argentine Republic). On May 20, the National Labor Court of First Instance Number 11, ruling Dr. Mirta González Burbridge, to grant Saccone’s claim.

The referee from Mar del Plata was fired on March 14 along with 14 other colleagues, but because he enjoyed union immunity, the AFA was forced to reinstate him after 24 hours. Leandro Núñez and Federico Cuello were also returned. Saccone was both in the same situation: they filed an amparos with Justice.

According to Saccone’s proposal, from 2019 to the present, he has only scheduled four matches and is in the lower categories: May 16, 2021, October 3, 2021 and October 30, 2021, all Federal Tournament A, and on May 7 in the Miramar League.

Under this circumstance, Judge González Burbridge’s decision indicates that the AFA “did not fully comply with the court order, so considering the time elapsed, the number of parties assigned; the category (First National), then it is appropriate to raise the amount of the fine set out in the records and, as of now, set the sum of $ 200,000 for such concept on each date of battles for which he has not been designated in accordance with the First National to be held after five business days of notification of this resolution, the established the fine shall govern until the plaintiff has assigned at least three games per month to the appropriate category, under penalty of doubling the amount of the pecuniary fine in case of non -compliance ”.

This Wednesday the appointments will be announced and Saccone should be appointed as assistant number 1. As long as, of course, the Arbitration Training Directorate follows the decision of Justice.
