A shocking accident occurred this Friday on Carb Day for the Indianapolis 500. The main character of the strong turnout was Colton Herthawhich fortunately for him had no physical consequences.
Shortly after the end of the test session, Colton Herta lost control of his car chartered by Andretti Autosport and hit the “Safer Barrier” at more than 350 km/h.. Then, from impact, the vehicle flew, overturned and moved more than 300 meters.
Medical help arrived quickly to remove the pilot who was transferred to the Medical Center. He was later found to be conscious, passed the initial concussion tests, but still had to undergo further tests. “I’m fine, but I’m upset about what happened to the car. I’m grateful to the aeroscreen and the medical and security services that treated me,” Herta said.
