The return date for Nova Scotian is near the end of November, two months after the start of the 2022-23 NHL season.
The operation was successful and was performed by Dr. Bryan Kelly in New York. This same surgeon was notably consulted for Carey Price’s knee surgery last summer.

The 34-year-old was the Bruins ’top scorer last season. He had 32 goals and 80 points in 70 games.
Despite Marchand’s efforts, however, the Bruins didn’t get past the first round of the playoffs. The Carolina Hurricanes eliminated them in seven games.
