The episode took place in April 2019: five members of the Imperial Guard brutally beat Sebastián Acosta, a journalist who supports Racing. The announcer remained seriously injured and it could have been even worse: they caused a quadruple jaw fracture and he almost lost sight in one eye.
More than three years later, three of the five defendants were convicted for the truth. Facundo David Repetto received a sentence of five years and six months in prison, effective compliance; Federico Di Meglio had to spend three years and two months behind bars; while Nahuel Ríos was given two years and four months in prison.
In addition to serious injuries, in some of the cases convictions were sentenced illegal carrying of weapons.
In the bars Héctor Otero and Jonathan Malnero, who were also arrested for beating Acosta, It was not reported whether they would receive a prison sentence.
