Despite running his fastest time of the season, Andre De Grasse finished ninth and last in the 100 on Saturday at the Diamond League in Eugene, Oregon.
The first three places in the ranking went to the Americans. Trayvon Bromell won with a time of 9.93s. Fred Kerley (9.98s) slipped to 2nd place, ahead of Christian Coleman (10.04s).
De Grasse ran the distance in 10.21 seconds. His best time of the season was 10.24s before starting in Eugene.
The fastest time away this season was set by Kenyan Ferdinand Omanyala, who crossed the finish line in 9.85s on May 7 in Nairobi.
In the mile, Canadian William Paulson took 8th place in a time of 3:52:42. It was for him a personal record so far. Charles Philibert-Thiboutot was ranked 9th in his fastest time of the season, 3:52:82.
