These are happy days for Boca. After a tour where Sebastián Battaglia was on the ropes, the team had a footballing evolution, winning the Professional League Cup and qualifying for the Libertadores ’round of 16. And in the final hours, even in between the festivities, a piece of news came out that left him at the gates of Guinness: already has 300 thousand members. And for this reason, of course, the reform and expansion of Bombonera is becoming increasingly necessary.
“Currently, CABJ has nine categories of members, which are active, adherent and international. In addition to subsidiaries and supporters clubs, consulates have been added around the world: the figure of the international partner allows people living abroad to also join the club ”, the club recorded on its social networks.
Today, Boca is the institution with the most members on the continent, surpassing Vasco Da Gama, who has 196,000 members, and goes for Bayern Munich’s record: 323,000 members.

In this sense, Jorge Amor Ameal defined the Bombonera 360 project and ruled the Slovenian. “We want to have a capacity for 80,000 people and we have 300,000 members, it’s not a minor thing. This is a difficult project, not easy, but not impossible. Boca is used to the impossible. Since the pandemic there have been people thinking about security and we need to have a stable economy to solve that problem. Negotiations were made with the neighbors and, at the same time, economic engineering was sought so as not to affect the club’s work ”, the president said.
And he added: “The Slovenian Project is unreasonable, you have to buy part of the two apples. There are neighbors, you have to make a pedestrian street to get around the ambulance and put a place for cultural activities under the Bombonera. And no. it’s only open every 15 days ”.
The 360 Project involves purchasing all the properties of the blocks that are behind the current boxes. According to the last official survey conducted by the club (2017), only 63% want to sell. There were 22% who had problems with the papers (units not registered in the movement of titles since the beginning of the last century; the rest were taken) and, finally, 15% who refuse to separate from their property.
The cost of making the reforms is progressing to $ 80 million.
