It seemed like a formality after practice on Monday, but Martin St-Louis confirmed it 24 hours later: Brendan Gallagher would return on Tuesday night against the Senators.

Gallagher was injured March 17 at the Bell Center in a duel against the Dallas Stars. Pushed by Radek Faksa on the ramp, the little striker immediately left the meeting, apparently injured in the back, although the CH satisfied himself with talking about the lower body.

The right-winger has missed the team’s last 8 games and has had to sit out a total of 26 times this season.

Tyler Pitlick will leave him in his place. The coach did not specify which trio we would see the tough attackers. Although there seems to be a place reserved for him to the right of Paul Byron and Christian Dvorak, he will have to wait for the warm-up season to be certain.

No other changes will be made in training. Therefore, Jordan Harris and Justin Barron resumed their accelerated internship, while Jake Allen will defend the Montreal net.

Good words for young people

Speaking about the newcomers to the defense, Nick Suzuki and Cole Caufield, their recent NHL supporters, boasted, these two mature players, very calm in their way of playing.

Harris played nearly 16 minutes Saturday night in Tampa Bay and Barron is now four straight games with, predictably, the ups and downs of the 20-year-old NHL defenseman’s tribulations.

St. agreed. Louis that having the final say on the line and changing the duo at home will likely help coaches choose matchups for these young players.

In Harris’ case, this is a very small sampledefined St-Louis.

You see his skate helps him all the time. If he’s having a bit of a hard time, his skate will help him get back into the game. He is able to withstand the attack. He made a very good first impression.

A quote from Martin St-Louis to Jordan Harris

It didn’t look like it was his first game on Saturdayfor his part Caufield estimated about Harris, his former teammate in the world juniors in 2021.

The road to a job in the NHL may still be long for Harris and Barron because of their age, inexperience and the position they hold. Caufield, who himself went through the gamut of emotions in a year in the NHL, shared some of his science.

You need to stay calm. Lots of ups, lots of downs, but whenever you have a chance to go to the arena, it’s a great day. You shouldn’t take that for granted. You see they want to improve. Nice to see. Stay calm and open-mindedadvised the Stevens Point striker.

So many

Caufield and Suzuki share the Molson Cup for the month of March. The former collected 15 points in 15 games, while the latter did better with 17.

Maybe we should split it in twodropped Suzuki, teasing.

This is no longer the Carey Price Cupreward of one.

In addition, Carey Price re -trained with her teammates and seemed more and more comfortable on the ice. St-Louis hasn’t specified anything about him, but a return to play seems much closer, according to externally visible signs.

Newly shaved Jeff Petry has participated in his first training session with the team since his injury on March 24 against the Panthers. The 33-year-old defender, however, wore a navy blue jersey reserved for the unreached, which he is the only one so far.

It will be a duel in the Atlantic Division slums on Tuesday night when the Ottawa Senators visit. The Ottawans won two games this weekend against the Detroit Red Wings. It will be recalled that the organization mourned the death of its owner Eugene Melnyk last week.
