Darryl Sutter of the Calgary Flames won the Jack Adams Award for NHL Coach of the Year on Thursday.
Florida Panthers interim coach Andrew Brunette and New York Rangers Gerard Gallant are the other finalists.
Sutter got 55 first-place, 22 second-place and 17 third-place votes from members of the NHL Radio and Television Broadcasters Association for a total of 353 points.
Brunette (31-26-16, 249 points) finished 2nd ahead of Gallant (12-21-19, 142 points). Eleven coaches received votes.
This is the first Jack-Adams for Sutter, who is 63 years old in his 20th campaign at the helm of a National League club. He led the Flames to their division championship and 6th overall.
Calgary reached the second round of the playoffs before losing to their Alberta rivals, the Edmonton Oilers.
