The agency confirmed to Clarín that Gómez is leaving his post. The now former official had been at the center of criticism after the clashes between Independiente brava and the attacks of the Racing fans on the Deportivo Cali fans.

Gómez had replaced Juan Manuel Lugones, who resigned after being reported for sexual abuse by a police officer.

Lugones was accused by a Buenos Aires police officer who was his secretary at Aprevide, with whom he shared an operation in Mar del Plata in mid-2019.

The now former head of the Agency for the Prevention of Violence in Sport arrived after being Director of Preventive Safety of the Airport Security Police (PSA).

In recent days Gómez had been questioned by several clubs in the Professional League, although the strongest criticisms of his management came after the clashes between the Independiente bars and the attack by Racing fans on Deportivo Cali fans in Colombia.

News in development.
