Group 3 of Zone A del League of Nations has a Italy, Germany, England Y Hungary. This last selection was the one that paid the most in bets since the other three have, a priori, best handicap. However, in the first match, the Hungarians struck and left the English team empty-handed.

The result looks like a surprise, but judging by the match situation, it was Hungary that had the best chances under the goal. The English goalkeeper had to intervene on several occasions.

The goal was a penalty, Szoboszlai did not fail in the execution and then the team managed to defend that advantage until the end. If Germany and Italy draw, the Hungarians will finish the first appointment as leaders in their group.

Victory over England had not occurred since 1962at the World Championship in Chile. After that occasion, there were 15 matches between the two teams, always with a favorable score for the team of three lions, the current second European.

England left their good streak at the stadium Ferenc Puskas of Budapest, where in his last visit, last September, he had achieved a landslide victory. After his Nations League debut, he left twenty-two games unbeaten, with the exception of the European Championship final, in which he fell on penalties.

The Hungarian team had confidence in themselves from the start, making their debut with a good image in the highest category of the competition to which they agreed after two promotions in a row. From League C to League A in two editions, Hungary handcuffed the English team most of the time, always aspiring to the big titles.

The combination of Gareth Southgatewho put West Ham’s Jarrod Bowen and Leicester defender James Justin on their international debut, couldn’t even keep control of the game he had gained early when he cornered the home team.

James’s foul on Zsolt Nagy made the penalty inevitable, which Szoboszlai turned into a goal. England were able to equalize with a Reece James free kick which Conor Coady headed but hit the post.
