Julian Nagelsmann, coach of Bayern Munich, was very sincere as soon as the match against Villarreal ended and, in his first statements to DAZN, he admitted that the victory of the ‘groguets’ did justice to what was seen at the Estadio de La Cerámica.

“We deserved to lose. We weren’t good today,” Naglesmann acknowledged, “In the first half, we lacked power defensively and had very few chances. The second half was a completely wild game. We gave up control because we were desperate to score, but we could having conceded two more goals”.

Bayern ended 22 consecutive away games without losing in the Champions League. It is also their first loss in the current edition since so far they had recorded seven wins and one draw.
