Independiente, thrilled after scoring their first Professional League victory, will visit Argentinos Juniors today in one of the matches that will complete the third round.
The match will be played from 19:00 at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium, in the La Paternal district of Buenos Aires, with Yael Pérez Falcón as referee and the ESPN Premium broadcast.
Héctor Paletta will lead the VAR together with Javier Uziga, who will referee as AVAR.
“Rojo” scored his first league win after defeating Talleres (1-0) in Avellaneda last Friday and intends to get another good result in a difficult downhill run like La Paternal, where “Bicho” strengthens after losing only one of the last 11 games.
The team led by Gabriel Milito, one of Independiente’s last idols, will try to recover after Saturday’s setback in Junín against Sarmiento (1-0).
The last match in La Paternal was on 20 December 2020 for the Maradona Cup with a 2-0 win by “Rojo”.
