Platense, the only team that has won the two games played, will host Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata today with the illusion of adding a new victory that would place them as the only leader of the Professional League, in one of the matches that will complete the third appointment.
The match will be played from 21:30 at the Ciudad de Vicente López stadium (inaugurated in 1979 with a match between “Calamar” and Gimnasia), will be refereed by Facundo Tello and will be broadcast on television by ESPN Premium.
If Platense defeats “Lobo” she will reach nine units and will be the only team to have been successful in all presentations, remaining alone at the top at the start of the national tournament.
Platense beat Godoy Cruz, 2-1 at home, and Vélez Sarsfield, at José Amalfitani, 1-0, in both cases with a good presentation of his character Mauro Zárate, who gave the team a quantum leap. .
Gimnasia, led by Néstor “Pipo” Gorosito, are also optimistic with a good start that included a meritorious away draw against Estudiantes de La Plata in the classic (1-1) and in the second presentation they had no problem overcoming as clubs of Patronato (2-0).
In history, they have played 112 times in the first division and “Lobo” maintains a lead of 43 wins against Platense’s 36 and 33 draws.
