Quebecer made 21 aces and did not make a double fault, but was unable to force itself on crucial points against the 12th racket in the world.

Pole defended himself well against Canadian No. 1 and No. 9 of ATP. He only made 10 unforced errors and hit 22 winners, including 6 aces.

Auger-Aliassime got the game’s only break point in the seventh game of the first end, but he wasted it by making one of his 19 unforced errors.

In the next round, Hurkacz will face Australian Nick Kyrgios, who defeated Spanish Pablo Carreno Busta 6-4, 6-2.

In another semi-final, Russian and favorite Daniil Medvedev will take a sword with German and local favorite Oscar Otte, 51st in the world.

Medvedev defeated Spanish Roberto Bautista Agut 6-2 and 6-4, while Otte defeated Russian Karen Khachanov 4-6, 7-6 (7/5) and 6-4.
