The Conmebol Communiqué

“The president of Conmebol, Alexander Dominguezdecided to appoint Mr. Enrique Caceres as president of the Referees Commission of the governing body of South American football.

“Cáceres holds the position of VAR Technical Manager for the South American Football Confederation. He has extensive experience in international arbitration and has the solvency and leadership essential for a position with high responsibility such as referral.

“The former Paraguayan referee has participated in several editions of the Libertadores (he taught two finals, in 2016 and 2017), the Sudamericana and the Copa América and was one of the South American representatives at the 2018 Russia World Cup, where there was He’s managed two games, and he also led one of the CONMEBOL Recopa finals in 2018 and the FIFA U-17 World Cup final.
