The Argentinian Nadia Podoroska and Paula Ormaechea also participated in the ranking and were eliminated in the second and first round respectively.

For his part, Rosario Renzo Olivo (191 in the ATP rankings) lost this Thursday against Czech Lukas Rosol (286) 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-4) and 6-4 and was eliminated from the qualifying round of the Wimbledon tournament, the third Grand Slam of the year starting next Monday.

Olivo played a good game and in the first two sets he managed to reach the tie break, even if the power of Rosol’s serve was decisive. The last set was quickly defined by the Czechoslovakian 6-4.

The 30-year-old from Rosario had passed the group after beating Austrian Jurji Rodionov (106) 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).

Olivo has remained in Wimbledon to this day following the elimination of Argentines Santiago Rodríguez Taverna, Pedro Cachín, Nicolás Kicker, Facundo Mena and Thiago Agustín Tirante, who were defeated in their respective games on Wednesday.
