The Colombian footballer of Boca, Sebastián Villa, will be investigated this Thursday by Justice accused of sexually abusing a 26-year-old girl at his home in a Canning country house in June last year.
The investigation will take place at 11.00 before the prosecutor Vanesa González at the headquarters of Esteban Echeverría’s Functional Education Unit (UFI) 3 specializing in gender violence, located at 425 Güemes street, in the city of Monte Grande, in the southern suburbs of Buenos Aires.
In this way, for the first time since the start of the trial after the victim’s denunciation, on May 13 we will hear the version of the attacker of xeneize on the episode for which he is accused and which sees him accused of the crime of “sexual abuse with carnal access”which contemplates a sentence of effective execution in a future oral trial.
The young woman said the fact It happened on the night of June 26, 2021 in the town “Venado II” of Canning, the festival of Ezeiza, where the football player lived, and after a barbecue in which other players of the Boca team had participated.
According to the complaint, Villa had consumed “a lot of alcohol” and started berating him for suspecting he liked them or had been with other players on campus.
After a heated debate, they both left their posts and went to the attacker’s home along with a security officer and a friend of the player. In that place, he said, Villa locked her in a room, sexually abused her and tried to suffocate her.
A few days ago another young woman who was at Villa’s house that evening also declared that, in addition, he had also suffered a sexual attack by the player, even though he told prosecutor González that he preferred not to initiate a criminal action, that is, he did not want to report him.
Although this new incident cannot be investigated without the victim’s approval, it serves the prosecutor as a proof of the defendant’s personality, judicial sources said.
The prosecutor asked for Villa’s arrest as early as June 7, but the judge of Lomas de Zamora’s Guarantees 2, Javier Maffucci Moore, rejected the proposal and asked the prosecution to further investigate.
It is not the only lawsuit against Villa
The Boca striker will be put on trial between 19 and 21 September in another file that a former teammate of his has started for the injuries and threats suffered in April 2020 in the house they shared in the city of Canning, Buenos Aires. .
In the context of this file, a Lomas de Zamora prison judge ordered, among other things, a ban on leaving the country, although the player has already obtained two special authorizations to leave the territory due to work problems with his club. .
