If it weren’t for the bagpipes, more than one would wonder if he plays “El Lobo Jujeño”. In the Tacita de Plata you can breathe football. The Puma revolution in the city of Jujuy is silent. The preview of the Test Match between the rugby teams of Argentina and Scotland lacked choripán. The first jerseys began to be seen far from the stadium, among cafes, bars and some restaurants, the first Puma uniforms appeared.

The Scottish delegation hired a group of bagpipe players, who dressed in traditional clothing and were the most peaceful sound in the foothills. Behind one of the stands, an autotune of a reggaeton continuation proposed by the fan fest sneaked. There was the news for the public of Jujuy: the fair mode in preview of the World Cup, the Pumas and the extinct Argentine Super League was present outside the stadium.

Just like a fair, but without stalls and with food trucks and billboards of Los Pumas and their sponsors with tons of merchandising, It was the obligatory stop for the family arriving at the court. Tickets, from 1,500 upwards, continued to be sold until hours before the game.

Los Pumas last time in Jujuy it was exactly five years ago, on that occasion the rival was Georgia. “We are going to beat the Scots,” predicted a boy, in the wolf hat and the training shirt from Argentina. There are hats, flags, headbands … and t-shirts, scarves: all in quantity, on a blanket on the floor, and at popular prices.

Nothing costs more than 1,500 pesos. Does it make a difference to Rugby? “Yes. It’s like a game that the big boys come to play for the Copa Argentina,” replies Llampa, annoyed that they have thrown him out of the roundabout where he settles down when he plays gymnastics.

The operations were carried out by the Jujuy Police and have nothing to envy to those who get up for a football match: they had the same inconsistency as the fences that force anyone to go around the block to enter from the access that was there. .. behind the fence impossible to move.

The arrival of the Pumas had a barely warm welcome: people were behind other fences, where the bus that took to campus did not pass.

With no previous songs or many flags, the Tacita de Plata audience waited for the meeting with absolute patience. Until the bagpipes were out of range: the stadium speakers silenced them with a good dose of reggaeton.
