Danish footballer Christian Eriksen, a victim of a heart problem that led to cardiorespiratory arrest while playing a Euro 2020 match, verbally agreed to join Manchester United.
the midfielder, who has been implanted with a pacemaker, returned to business last season at Britain’s Brentford, where he proved he had “completely” recovered from his health problem, according to the newspaper Mundo Deportivo. There, in his last stint in the Premier League – where he had already defended the Tottenham colors – he scored a goal and provided four assists in ten games.
Due to the device placed in his heart, Eriksen had not been able to play for Inter again since in Italy they did not allow him to return to football with an internal defibrillator based on medical recommendations that regulate Serie A football.

Eriksen’s arrival at Manchester United is also linked to the recommendations of Erik ten Hag, the new manager of the British team, who has known the Dane since his time at Ajax in the Netherlands.
The English club has warned that before the signing the player will be subjected to “in-depth studies” to confirm his suitability for high competition.
Eriksen had already been called up by coach Kasper Hjulmand to join the team of Denmark, with whom he is expected to play the Qatar 2022 World Cup from 21 November. He also had the pleasure of scoring a goal in the 3-0 victory over Serbia. He did so in the same stadium, Parken, in Copenhagen, where he had collapsed nine months earlier and was resuscitated after suffering cardiac arrest.
